Screenwriting
INT.WRITER'S OFFICE -- DAY
A U-shaped, emerald green desk.
Organized chaos scattered throughout.
Post it notes plastered to a television monitor.
Soft keyboard clicks in rapid staccato as screenwriter SCOTT CORNFIELD, toils away in front of the large computer monitor.
Three mismatched phones sprinkled among screenwriting books on the desktop.
One RINGS.
Scott slides away from the desk.
His hand hovers over the phones.
A second RING leads him to the right one.
He lifts the receiver.
SCOTT
Hello.
STUDIO EXECUTIVE (V.O.)
Hi, Scott. We got your script.
SCOTT
And?
STUDIO EXECUTIVE (V.O.)
Has anyone else seen it yet?
SCOTT
Why?
STUDIO EXECUTIVE (V.O,)
You sure you wrote this? The dialog's amazing
but...I've only gotten three syllables out of
you during this whole conversation.
SCOTT
Four.
